Users - Unlocking an account

This guide has been created for system administrators.

Specific role permissions may be required, including: Users.


Overview:

If a user repeatedly enters an incorrect password when attempting to log in to Edays, their account may become locked. The maximum invalid password attempts allowed before an account becomes locked is determined within the Password Settings section of your System Settings - please click here to view our guide to Password Settings.


Please note: An account can only be unlocked by a system admin. 

If the user requires a password reset please click here to view our guide to resetting a user's password.


To unlock a user's account please follow the steps below:

  • Navigate to Admin Tools > Users.
  • Search for the required user.
  • Press the edit button against the correct search result.
  • Press the 'Unlock Account' button in the top right of the user detail screen.
