This guide has been created for system authorisers and administrators.
Specific role permissions may be required, including: Staff record time submission.
"Enable timesheet unlocking" must be enabled on the authoriser's account to allow timesheet unlocking.
Authorising and Unlocking Time Tracking sheets, otherwise known as timesheets.
As an authoriser, it is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy and timely approval of timesheets. Here are the steps to authorise and unlock timesheets:
Authorising via the Manager Dashboard:
- Log in to the system and go to your manager dashboard.
- Navigate to the Action List.
- Identify the record and authorise or reject it as needed. To authorise or reject multiple records at the same time, use the tickbox, and "Authorise all" or "Decline all" buttons.
Authorising via the User’s Time Tracking Page:
- Go to the respective user’s dashboard.
- Click on the Time Tracking button.
- Navigate to the week in question.
- Review the inputted hours.
- Click the Authorise or Reject button as necessary.
If you observe inaccuracies in the inputted hours, you can reject the timesheet, prompting the user to complete and resubmit it.
If a record has been authorised but requires modification, you can unlock the sheet by following these steps:
- Navigate to the user’s dashboard.
- Click on the Time Tracking button.
- Choose the week to unlock.
- Click the Unlock button at the bottom of the page.
Similar to a rejection, this action sends the timesheet back to the user for amendments and resubmission.
By adhering to these procedures, you can ensure the accuracy and timely approval of timesheets.
