Who this guide is for: System administrators – Requires ‘System Admin’ role, System Setup permission and an Advanced Analytics licence
Overview:
This guide answers common questions about Advanced Analytics, the paid add-on that delivers interactive, pre-built reports and natural-language querying on your absence data.
How Advanced Analytics Works:
Advanced Analytics organises your absence and time-tracking data into four Report Packs—Planned Leave, Unplanned Leave, Time Recording and Working Locations—each containing multiple dashboards with Visuals, Metrics, Filters, Tabs and a Question & Answer box for plain-language queries.
How to Set Up Advanced Analytics:
To enable Advanced Analytics for users, follow the step-by-step setup guide (System > Users > User Settings > Premium Reports). Once configured, users see Advanced Analytics in place of the standard Manager Dashboard.
Additional Information:
- Report Packs: Collections of linked dashboards navigated by tabs.
- Visuals: Interactive charts/numbers that filter the page when clicked.
- Metrics: Context-aware calculations (e.g. Total Days Off) that adapt to filters.
- Filters: Global selectors (date, team, location) that apply across Report Packs but do not persist between sessions or users.
- Question & Answer box: Click the Q&A icon to ask plain-language questions (e.g. “Top reason for sickness in 2021?”) and get instant results.
- Advanced Analytics licence: Purchased in packs of five users; minimum spend £500 for smaller organisations.
- Requires ‘System Admin’ role, System Setup permission and an Advanced Analytics licence.
- Warning: Advanced Analytics replaces the Manager Dashboard for enabled users.
- Tip: Assign only relevant Report Packs to each user to avoid clutter.
- Use the search function within the platform to quickly find features or settings.
