Error Messages
“Invalid primary authoriser - No matching user could be found”

- Check that the Role is correct for the authoriser
“User was updated, but failed to set FTE or update entitlement. Failed due to: Invalid FTE Effective Date”
Troubleshooting:

“User was updated, but failed to set FTE or update entitlement. Failed due to: Invalid FTE. Must be between 0 and 1”
Troubleshooting:
- Check the FTE in ELMO to ensure it is correct.
- If the user is full time, the FTE should be 1
- If the user is part time the format of the FTE should be 0.X (e.g. 0.6)
“User was updated, but failed to set FTE or update entitlement. Failed due to: Invalid FTE effective date. User's FTE cannot change after their leaving date”
FTE change is trying to take place after the user’s leaving date.
Troubleshooting:
- Check the FTE Change Effective Date field and ensure the date is before the End Date
“Invalid or empty SettingsTemplateId or PartnerSettingsTemplateId”
A value that does not match any existing settings template (or no value when no default exists) has been given for the user’s Settings Template. Settings templates are mandatory so without it, the user cannot be created and the record is skipped.
Troubleshooting:
- Check to ensure the User Template field is populated and matches a template that is set in edays.
- If you cannot see the User Template in ELMO after it has been added into edays please speak to the ELMO team who can update this.
“Invalid Group field: '{groupTypeName}' does not match any known group type in Edays”

Troubleshooting:
- Check the groups exist in ELMO and are populated for that user.
“Rota does not exist”
The Work Pattern specified in ELMO does not exist in edays.
Troubleshooting:
- Check the rota pattern with the same name exists in edays under Admin Panel > Calendar elements > Rota patterns
- If you cannot see the Work Pattern in ELMO after it has been added into edays please speak to the ELMO team who can update this.
