Overview:
This guide explains how to manually copy your e-days calendar link and import it into external calendars such as Outlook or Google, when the Group or Personal calendar sync options do not trigger the automatic selector.
How Calendar Sync Works:
e-days calendar events can be subscribed to externally using an iCal feed. If automatic sync isn't available, you can manually copy the calendar link and import it into your provider (e.g., Outlook, Google Calendar) or share it with others.
How to Copy and Use the Calendar Link:
- Log into e-days with the account you wish to sync.
- Navigate to the Group Calendar (My tools - Group Calendar).
- Hover over Add e-days to your calendar.
- Right-click on either Group or Personal.
- Click Copy link address from the menu.
How to Import the Link into External Calendar Providers:
- Outlook
Follow Microsoft’s guide: Import or subscribe to a calendar in Outlook.com - Google Calendar
Follow Google’s guide: Subscribe to someone else’s calendar
Alternative: Share the Link with Others
If you're setting up a shared calendar:
- Paste the copied link into an email using Ctrl + V.
- Send it to individuals who should access the calendar.
- Ask them to follow the relevant import instructions above.
Additional Information:
- Calendar Sync: Displays e-days bookings in external calendars via iCal feed.
- Tip: Make sure recipients understand the link is view-only and the calendar data will refresh periodically.
- The external support links are not maintained by e-days and may change—refer to your IT team if needed.
- Use the search function within the platform to quickly find features or settings.
