Recycle Bin - Restoring an item

Who this guide is for: System administrators – Requires 'System Admin' role and Recycle Bin permission

Overview:
This guide explains how to restore deleted items from the Recycle Bin in edays. Restoring a record makes it active again in the system without needing to recreate it.

How the Recycle Bin Works:
When users, absence records, or documents are deleted, they are moved to the Recycle Bin. From here, they can either be restored or permanently deleted, giving administrators flexibility in managing data.

How to Restore an Item from the Recycle Bin:

  1. Go to Admin Tools > Admin Panel.
  2. Click Recycle Bin in the bottom-left area of the menu panel.
  3. Use the search filters if needed to locate the deleted item.
  4. Under the Actions column, click the Restore (circular arrow) icon next to the item.
  5. Confirm the restoration when prompted—the item will then be reinstated in the system.

Additional Information:

  • Recycle Bin: Temporarily stores deleted records for future recovery or permanent deletion.

  • Restore: Returns the item to its original state, making it active again.

  • Requires 'System Admin' role and Recycle Bin permission.

  • Tip: Always verify the item before restoring to avoid reactivating incorrect data.

  • Use the search function within the platform to quickly find features or settings.
