User Templates - Adding a new Template

Overview:
This guide explains how to create a new User Template, allowing you to group settings that cascade to multiple users for consistent configuration.


How User Templates Work:
User Templates bundle settings—such as entitlements, view filters, and custom days—so that every user assigned inherits the same configuration. This simplifies administration and ensures uniformity across your organisation.


How to Set Up a New User Template:

  1. Go to Admin tools > Admin panel > Template > User Templates.
  2. Click +Add New at the top of the page.
  3. Enter a Name for the template.
  4. Click Save Template at the top of the page.
  5. Cycle through each tab (e.g. Entitlements, View Settings, Custom Days) and apply your required configurations.
  6. After configuring each tab, click Save Template at the top of the page to commit your changes.


Additional Information:

  • User Template: A configuration container that applies settings to assigned users.
  • Requires ‘System Admin’ role and User Templates permission.
  • Warning: Changes at the Template level override Global and User settings unless those have been explicitly overridden.
  • Tip: Use Bulk User Update to assign the new template to multiple users in one action.
  • Use the search function within the platform to quickly find features or settings.
