Custom Days - Editing dates in a custom days group

Who this guide is for: System administrators – Requires 'System Admin' role and Global Rota Setup permission

Overview:
This guide explains how to edit an existing date within a Custom Days group—for example, if a company shutdown date needs to be renamed or its duration changed.

How Custom Days Work:
Custom Days are fixed calendar dates applied to user calendars for events like shutdowns, non-working days, or training days. They are grouped for easier management and can optionally deduct from entitlement. You can edit a date if the details were entered incorrectly or have changed.

How to Set Up Custom Day Edits:

  1. Go to Admin tools > Admin panel > Calendar Elements > Custom Days.
  2. Find the Custom Days Group you want to change and click the Days button on its row.
  3. Locate the date you want to edit and click the Edit button on its row.
  4. Update the date, name, or duration as required.
  5. Click the Save button at the top of the page.

Additional Information:

  • Custom Day: A fixed date added to user calendars, e.g. bank holidays or company-wide closures.
  • Custom Days Group: A collection of custom dates assigned to relevant users.
  • Requires 'System Admin' role and Global Rota Setup permission.
  • Warning: Edited custom days will immediately reflect on all users linked to the group.
  • Tip: Use clear names (e.g. “Christmas Shutdown”) to ensure visibility in user calendars.
  • Use the search function within the platform to quickly find features or settings.
