Overview
This guide explains how to create days-based rota patterns for weekly or custom cycles, which integrate with days-based absence types.
How Days-Based Rota Patterns Work
These patterns allow simple assignment of working days (full or half days) that align with days-based absence booking processes.
How to Set Up Days-Based Rota Patterns
- Navigate to Admin > Calendar elements > Rota patterns
- Click + Add rota
- Enter a clear name for the rota pattern (description optional)
- Select the pattern type:
- Weekly Pattern for regular weekly rotations
- Daily Pattern for daily rotations
- Apply the number of weeks or days included in the pattern
- Configure the Calendar Day View timeframe
- For each working day, select a working status:
- Full day
- Half day (AM)
- Half day (PM)
- Set each non-working day accordingly
- Click Save at the top of the page to confirm the rota pattern
