Assigning Public Holidays to The Global Rota

Who this guide is for
System Administrators. Requires ‘System Admin’ role.

Overview
This guide explains how to apply public holidays to the Global Rota so that all users in the system automatically inherit the configured public holiday dates.

How Public Holidays Work
Public holidays are managed centrally within the Calendar and can be applied to the Global Rota, ensuring consistent non-working days for all users unless overridden at Template or User level.

How to Apply Public Holidays to the Global Rota

  1. Go to Admin Tools > Admin Panel.
  2. Select Calendar > Public Holidays.
  3. Click Apply Public Holidays at the top of the page.
  4. Select the relevant public holiday set by clicking Apply.
  5. Confirm that the public holiday dates now appear in the calendar view.
  6. Click Save at the top of the page to apply the changes to the Global Rota.

Additional Information

  • Applying public holidays at Global level ensures all users inherit these dates by default.
  • Templates or individual users can override Global rota settings if required.
  • Warning: Changes to the Global Rota may affect all users immediately.
  • Requires ‘System Admin’ role.
  • Tip: Use the search function within the platform to quickly find features or settings.
