Who this guide is for: System administrators – Requires 'System Admin' role and Overtime and TOIL Setup permission
Overview:
This guide explains how to edit the cancellation settings for existing Overtime or TOIL types, allowing you to control who can cancel requests and whether approval is needed.
How Overtime and TOIL Types Work:
Overtime and TOIL types define how additional hours worked are recorded and managed. Each type can have its own cancellation rules, such as whether users can cancel their own entries, or if cancellations require authorisation. Adjusting these settings ensures you have the right control and oversight for your organisation's approval process.
How to Set Up Overtime or TOIL Cancellation Settings:
Go to Admin tools > Admin panel > Global > Overtime and TOIL Types.
Locate the overtime or TOIL type you wish to update and click the Edit button on its row.
Scroll to the Cancellation Settings section.
Configure the following options as required:
Allow cancellation by users – Enable if users should be able to cancel their own submissions.
Use authorisation for cancellation – Enable if cancellations must be approved by an authoriser.
Allow cancellation by authorisers – Enable if authorisers can cancel requests made by their reportees.
Click Save at the top of the page.
