Public Holiday Setup - Updating a public holiday date

This guide is intended for System Administrators
Overview:
This guide explains how to modify existing public holiday dates within your system's public holiday groups.
How Public Holiday Editing Works:

  • Allows updates to holiday dates, names and durations
  • Changes automatically sync to all users assigned to that holiday group
  • Useful for correcting errors or adjusting for annual date changes

How to Edit a Public Holiday:

  1. Navigate to Admin Tools > Admin Panel
  2. Select Calendar > Public Holidays
  3. Find the public holiday group that contains the date to remove 
  4. Click the Days button next to the group
  5. Locate the specific date to modify
  6. Click the Edit button
  7. Update any of these fields:
    • Date (change the calendar date)
    • Name (modify the holiday name)
    • Duration (adjust the length in days)
  8. Click Save (top right)

    • Public Holiday Group: Collection of public holiday dates assigned to users 
    • Holiday Duration: Number of days the holiday spans (typically 1)
  • Permissions Required: 'Global Rota Setup' 
  • Best Practices:
    • Verify changes with local teams for country-specific holidays
    • Update recurring holidays annually
  • Important:
    • Changes affect all users in the group immediately
    • Consider notifying users of significant changes
  • Tip: Use the search function to quickly locate holiday groups
