Public Holiday Setup - Updating a public holiday group

Overview:
Customize existing public holiday group properties including display settings, country associations, and entitlement impacts.
How Holiday Group Configuration Works:

  • Controls how holidays appear and function across the system
  • Can link groups to specific countries for automatic updates
  • Determines if holidays affect employee entitlements
  • Works as an umbrella group to store collective public holiday dates

How to Configure a Holiday Group:

  1. Navigate to Admin Tools > Admin Panel
  2. Select Calendar > Public Holidays
  3. Locate the public holiday group to update
  4. Click the Edit button (blue)
  5. Adjust these key settings:
  6. Basic Information
    • Name: Update the group identifier
    • Description: Add optional explanatory notes
  7. Core Settings
    • Country: Essential for automatic holiday imports
    • Affected Entitlements: Toggle and select accordingly if holidays deduct from leave balances
  8. Display Options
    • Colour: Choose calendar display colour
  9. Click Save to apply changes
