Who this guide is for: System administrators. Requires 'User Templates' permission.
Overview:
This guide explains how to configure overbooking mode for entitlement pots at the Template level, allowing or restricting users from booking absences beyond their entitlement balance.
How Overbooking Mode Works:
Overbooking mode determines whether users can submit absences that exceed their entitlement balance. Options include:
- Allow: Users can overbook.
- Deny: Users cannot submit absences that result in a negative balance.
- Prompt: Users receive a warning before overbooking.
- Inherit: Follows the Global-level setting (only presents on template- and user-level)
How to Set Up Overbooking Mode:
- Navigate to Admin tools > Admin panel > Templates
- Locate the template and click Edit.
- Select the Entitlements tab.
- Click Edit next to the entitlement pot.
- Set Overbooking mode to Allow, Deny, Prompt, or Inherit default value.
- Click Save template at the top of the page.
