Overview:
This guide explains how to configure overbooking mode at the Global level, controlling whether users can book absences beyond their entitlement balance.
How Overbooking Mode Works:
Overbooking mode determines if users can submit absences when they have insufficient entitlement. Options include:
- Allow: Users can book into negative balance
- Deny: System blocks bookings that would create negative balance
- Prompt: Warns users before allowing overbooking
How to Set Up Global Overbooking Mode:
- Go to Admin tools > Admin panel > Global > Entitlement setup
- Click Edit next to the relevant entitlement pot
- Select desired Overbooking mode (Allow/Deny/Prompt)
- Click Save at the top of the page
How to Access Overbooking Mode via Search
You can quickly find and amend Overbooking Mode using the search bar:
- Click on the search bar and type Overbooking mode
- In the results, select whether you want to edit at Global, Template, or User level
- For example, if you want to amend Overbooking Mode at a Global level, select Overbooking mode – Global
- A pop-up window will appear
- From the dropdown menus, select the relevant Entitlement pot
- Click Confirm to open the setting
- Make the required changes to Overbooking Mode and Save
