Who this guide is for: System administrators. Requires 'Global Settings' permission.
Overview:
This guide explains how to disable an entitlement pot at the global level, either to retire it completely or restrict it while allowing template/user-level exceptions.
How Disabling Entitlements Works:
Disabling an entitlement pot globally removes it for all users, unless overridden at template/user level. This is useful when phasing out an entitlement type or limiting its availability.
How to Disable an Entitlement Pot Globally:
- Navigate to Admin Tools > Admin Panel.
- Select Global > Entitlements.
- Amend the State to be Disabled by clicking on the blue on/off button.
Additional Information:
- Key Terms:
- Entitlement Pot: A category of leave (e.g., "Annual Leave").
- Global Disable: Deactivates the pot for all users by default.
- Permissions: 'Global Settings' role required.
- Tip: Disabled global entitlements can still be enabled for specific groups/users via Templates or User settings.
- Warning: Template/user-level settings override Global.
- Search Tip: Use the search bar to quickly locate Entitlement Setup or specific pots.
