Amending the allowance cap on a user level

Who this guide is for: System administrators. Requires 'Users' permission.


Overview: 

This guide explains how to modify or remove an allowance cap for specific entitlement elements at the user level.


How Allowance Caps Work: 

Allowance caps limit the maximum amount of entitlement a user can accrue from accrual awards. You may need to adjust these when changing company policies or accommodating individual employee circumstances.


How to Modify an Allowance Cap:

  1. Navigate to Admin tools > Admin panel > Users > User overview
  2. Search for the user and click Edit
  3. Select the Entitlements tab
  4. Click Edit next to the relevant entitlement pot
  5. Click Edit next to the specific entitlement element
  6. Click the Advanced button
  7. Adjust the allowance cap value as needed (set to 0 to remove cap)
  8. Click Save user at the top of the page


How to Access Allowance Caps via Search
You can also find and amend allowance caps directly using the search bar:

  1. In the search bar, type Allowance cap for accruals
  2. From the results, choose whether to amend in days or hours
  3. Select Users level (for individual adjustments)
  4. A pop-up window will appear
  5. Select the User, the Entitlement pot, and the Entitlement element
  6. Make the required changes and click Save
