Remove Individual Public Holiday Date - Template Level

This guide is intended for System Administrators
Overview:
Remove individual public holiday dates from specific user templates to accommodate regional exceptions or special working arrangements.
How Template Holiday Exceptions Work:

  • Allows selective removal of holidays for defined user templates
  • Maintains system-wide dates while creating local exceptions
  • Automatically applies to all users assigned to the template

How to Set Up:

  1. Navigate to Admin Tools > Admin Panel
  2. Select Templates
  3. Locate the template requiring adjustment
  4. Click the Edit button
  5. Go to the Rota tab
  6. Find the public holiday date within the calendar and select to remove
  7. Click the X (between timeline and start time fields)
  8. Click Save All Changes (top right)
  9. Confirm with Yes if prompted

  • Key Terms:
    • Template Exception: Override for specific user templates
    • Rota Refresh: May restore removed dates - contact support if this occurs
  • Permissions Required: 'Global Rota Setup' access
  • Best Practices:
    • Document all template exceptions for auditing
    • Review during annual holiday updates
    • Communicate changes to affected teams
  • Important:
    • Changes can only be made for 'Last Year', 'This Year' and 'Next Year'
    • Refresh actions may override exceptions
    • Changes apply instantly to all users on the template
  • Tip: Use the search function to quickly locate templates
