Overview:
This guide explains how to create a new entitlement pot and assign it to absence types, helping you manage different leave categories in your organization.
How Entitlement Pots Work:
Entitlement pots group related leave types together with shared settings. They determine how leave is calculated and tracked, and can be assigned to specific absence types (e.g., sick leave, annual leave).
How to Create and Assign an Entitlement Pot:
- Go to Admin panel > Global > Entitlements
- Click + Add new entitlement pot
- Complete the form:
- Enter a Name (e.g., "Annual Leave")
- Select Time Unit (hours/days)
- Choose Overbooking mode (Allow/Deny/Prompt)
- (Optional) Expand Advanced options for custom settings
- Click Save
- To assign to an absence type:
- Navigate to Admin panel > Global > Absence types
- Click Edit on the relevant absence type
- In Affected Entitlement, select your new pot
- Click Save
