As an administrator, you have the ability to enable breaks for users when submitting their hours. This feature allows users to input their breaks manually or automatically apply breaks depending on the number of hours worked that day. Here's how you can enable breaks for your users:
- Navigate to Admin tools > Admin panel > Global > Time Tracking set up
- At the bottom of the page, tick to enable breaks
- Set the number of mandatory breaks in time bands. This enables you to set the hours per day worked by a group of users and the required break length.
- Click save to submit changes
Once you have enabled breaks, users will be able to input their breaks manually when submitting their hours. Alternatively, you can configure breaks to automatically apply based on the number of hours worked that day.
For example, Pallas Accountants enable breaks in their edays system for two bands of users. One group works 7.5 hours per day and has a 30-minute break, while the other group works 4 hours per day with a 15-minute break. By enabling breaks, users can easily input their break times and ensure accurate reporting of their hours worked.
