Overview
Enable Full day bookings always equal 1 day at the Global level so a full working day of absence consistently deducts 1 day from entitlement for all users by default.
How “Full day bookings always equal 1 day” Works
When enabled on a Global entitlement pot (e.g. Holiday), any booking that covers a user’s full working hours for a day will deduct exactly 1 day, regardless of the user’s Hours Per Day (HPD). Template and User levels can still override this Global rule.
How to Set Up “Full day bookings always equal 1 day” (Global)
- Go to Admin tools > Admin panel > Global > Entitlements.
- Click Edit on the entitlement pot you wish to change (e.g. Holiday).
- In Advanced, enable Full day bookings always equal 1 day.
- Click Save at the top of the page.
Additional Information
- Hours Per Day (HPD): The user’s standard daily working hours. With this setting on, a full-day booking deducts 1 day rather than a proportion based on HPD.
- Scope: Applies by default to all users via the selected Global entitlement pot.
- Permissions: Requires 'System Admin' role and Entitlements permission.
- Warning: Template overrides Global, and User overrides Template; check for lower-level overrides if behaviour differs for some users.
