This guide has been created for system administrators.

Specific role permissions may be required, including: Absence Setup | User Templates.

Overview:

Depending on your company requirements, you may have some absence types that should only be bookable in the system by specific templates. This could include country specific absence types e.g. RTT Days, or you may have a separate Administrator template.

This guide will outline how to disable an absence type at a Global level, and then enable at a Template level.

Creating an absence type:
  • Navigate to Admin tools > Admin panel.
  • Go to Global > Absence type setup.
  • Click the blue Add New button at the top of the page.
  • Set the basic options for the new absence type and click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
  • Now that the new absence type has been created, its permissions can be set in the lower half of the page.
  • Set the Booking Settings to No.
  • Click the Save button.
