This guide has been created for system administrators.
Specific role permissions may be required, including: Absence Setup | User Templates.
Overview:
Depending on your company requirements, you may have some absence types that should only be bookable in the system by users on specific templates. This could include country specific absence types e.g. RTT Days, or you may have a separate Administrator template.
This guide will outline how to disable an absence type at a Global level, and then enable at a Template level.
Creating an absence type:
- Navigate to Admin tools > Admin panel.
- Go to Global > Absence type setup.
- Click the blue +Add new button at the top of the page.
- Set the basic options for the new absence type and click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
- Now that the new absence type has been created, its permissions can be set in the lower half of the page.
- Set the Booking Settings to No.
- Click the Save button.
Once created, you can then enable the absence type on the required template.
Enabling on template:
- Navigate to Admin tools > Admin panel.
- Go to Templates > User templates.
- Identify the user template you wish to update and click the blue Edit button on its row.
- Select the Absence Types tab.
- Identify the absence type to update by browsing or using the search filter at the top of the page.
- Click the Edit button.
- Locate the Booking Settings and set to Yes.
- Review the permissions and set as required.
- Click the Save button.
