This guide has been created for system administrators.

Specific role permissions may be required, including: Absence setup | Users.

Overview:

Depending on your company requirements, you may have some absence types that should only be bookable in the system by administrator users. In this instance, the absence type would need to be disabled at a Global level, and then enabled at a User level.

This guide will outline how to disable an absence type at a Global level, and then enable at a User level.

Disabling at a Global level.

Step by step guide:

  • Navigate to Admin tools > Admin panel.
  • Go to Global > Absence type setup.
  • Identify the absence type to update by browsing, or using the search filter.
  • Click the Edit button on the absence type that requires updating.
  • Scroll down to the Booking Settings and disable as required by selecting No.
  • Click the Save button.

If you would like to enlarge the image, please click on it to expand.

Enabling at a User level.
Step by step guide:
  • Navigate to Admin tools > Admin panel.
  • Go to Users > Users.
  • Use the search filters to find your account.
  • Click the Edit button.
  • Go to the Absence types tab.
  • Identify the absence type to update by browsing, or using the search filter.
  • Click the Edit button on the absence type that requires updating.
  • Scroll down to the Booking Settings and enable as required by selecting Yes.
  • Click the Save button.

Please note: You will need to be set as a super user to edit your own account. Please see our guide to setting an account type to 'super user' by clicking here.
