Overview:
This guide explains how to configure absence type permissions globally, setting default visibility rules for all users.
How Global Absence Permissions Work:
Global permissions define baseline visibility rules for absence records across your organisation. These are overridden by Template or User-level settings.
How to Set Up Global Absence Type Permissions:
- Go to Admin Tools > Admin Panel
- Select Global > Absence Types in the left panel
- Find the absence type (use search if needed)
- Click Edit next to the relevant absence type
- Expand the Permissions section
- Configure settings for:
- My items: View own absences
- Reportees: View team members' absences
- Others: View all users' absences
- Click Save at the top of the page
