Overview:
This guide explains how to modify existing absence types at the global level, affecting all users unless overridden by template or user settings.
How Global Absence Type Editing Works:
Global absence types serve as the foundation for all absence records. Changes made here will automatically update across the system, except where template or user settings override them.
How to Edit Global Absence Types:
- Go to Admin Tools > Admin Panel
- Select Global > Absence Types in the left panel
- Locate the absence type (use the search filter if needed)
- Click Edit next to the absence type
- Modify any of these fields:
- Name or description
- Planned/unplanned classification
- Entitlement impact settings
- Cancellation rules
- Additional configurations
- Click Save at the top right
