Overview:
This guide explains how to enable or disable specific absence types for individual users, overriding Global or Template settings.
How Absence Booking Settings Work:
Absence types (e.g., Holiday, Sickness) can be restricted or permitted for users at three levels:
- Global
- Template
- User
User-level settings take precedence over Template and Global settings. This feature is useful for tailoring absence permissions for specific roles or individuals.
How to Set Up Absence Booking Settings:
- Navigate to Admin Tools > Admin Panel
- Select Users > User Overview in the left panel
- Find the user (browse or use search filter)
- Click Edit next to the user's name
- Select the Absence Types tab
- Locate the absence type (browse or use search filter)
- Click Edit next to the absence type
- Adjust these settings:
- Can book own absences (Inherited/Yes/No)
- Can book reportees' absences (Inherited/Yes/No)
- Can book others' absences (Inherited/Yes/No)
- Click Save User (top-right corner)
